Beginning my teaching career during the COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly shaped my approach to teaching and mentoring by challenging me to be a more empathetic and creative teacher. As an instructor, I aim to empower my students to see themselves as producers—not just consumers—of sociological knowledge.
